This online tool presents a range of benefits and estimated values from implementing different nature-based solutions at a landscape scale across the Kent and Pas-de-Calais regions.
It is not currently possible to measure or value all benefits associated with the nature-based solutions. The tool focuses on benefits for nature-based solutions which involve land use change. Benefits from other nature-based solutions are not estimated within the tool. The catchments have been modelled to identify potential sites where creation of semi natural habitats could have the most impact on flooding.
The tool demonstrates the scale of potential value for a range of benefits if nature-based solutions were implanted across the identified areas; however, further investigation would be required to make land management and policy and planning decisions.
